IQR Emissions Survey Services
Identify
Hy-Bon’s FLIR patented infrared (IR) camera sees natural gas emissions that are not visible to the human eye. This highly sensitive instrument is configured to detect all hydrocarbon gases including methane, propane, butane, etc,. making it possible to validate that substantial gas volumes are being lost, costing profits and adding to the hydrocarbon load in the atmosphere. Hy-Bon's FLIR Infrared video camera survey indentifies natual gas volumes being vented to the atmosphere from leak sources. Our survey will identify emissions, quantify gas volumes, rectify potential environmental problems and unlock profits. Hy-Bon IQR survey services, first in the Permian Basin to offer a new state of the art service to identify, quantify, and rectify methane gas emissions on oil production facilities...setting a new standard in customer compression. Boost profits with Hy-Bon gas management systems. Color photos of a tank battery show what you see with the naked eye. Black and white frames from our infrared video camera document the gas emissions of valuable but normally invisible gas vapors and other VOCs. Heavier vapors flow to the ground, possibly endangering nearby personnel and impacting the environment. Our clients receive video of all emission leak sources identified, numbered and tagged - video provided with a comprehensive report.
Quantify
Largest array of gas quantification tools in the industry. Modeling software includes E&P Tank, Tanks 4.0, Hysis and basic charting. Field tools include tank testing meters, Hi-Flow Samplers, turbine meters, and calibrated bags. Gas analysis also available via field chromatograph. Chart estimations of stock tank emissions and E&P tank emissions are provided, along with quantification of smaller leaks.
Rectify
Using our 55+ years experience capturing these gas streams, Hy-bon recommends the lowest cost technical solution for capturing the identified gas – based on the volumes and pipeline pressures on location. If requested, Hy-bon can then design and manufacture the vapor recovery equipment required. You will receive a report denoting all major natural gas emissions, defining the most cost effective method for capturing each emissions source. It also will include a payback analysis on capital expenditures along with specific technical recommendations.

Increase profits by reducing lost product:
A typical Permian Basin oil stock tank battery vents to the atmosphere between $5,000 and $25,000 of natural gas per month. In addition to the stock tanks, other methane leaks and vented gas across the location could add hundreds of thousands of dollars annually that would have increased profits for the company, shareholders and other stakeholders with interests in this potential revenue stream. Stock tank gas is often over 2,000 Btu - making it some of the most valuable natural gas on the lease.

Improve Safety:
Gas leaks cause many explosions and fatalities every year. Hydrogen Sulfide - H2S is a major concern for employee safety in the Permian Basin and around the world's oil & gas industry, as well as continuous exposure to VOCs and toxic elements such as benzene. You will be absolutely amazed to see the multiple gas leaks and emissions across a typical oil production facility in our region. By identifying and rectifying these emissions and getting the gas into a pipeline where it belongs, employee safety is greatly enhanced.

Environmental Stewardship:
Each ton of methane gas vented to the atmosphere is equivalent to 21 tons of Carbon Dioxide - CO2. Much of the gas emitted is high in VOC content due to it's wet nature. These "spills in the air" constitute a huge negative environmental impact on air quality and waste an important natural resource for our country and the world - clean burning natural gas.
When the IQR - IR digital camera survey is complete and the report delivered, we can show you how Hy-Bon's vapor recovery system can turn escaping gas into profits on your companies bottom line. We are a global leader in the design and manufacture of vapor recovery units.
