Below is the script from the Flare Gas Recovery video:
Hy-Bon Engineering is a global leader in flare gas recovery systems. Our vapor recovery equipment allows customers to capture this low pressure, often wet flare gas stream with the effectiveness and versatility these applications require. Hy-Bon has over fifteen years experience in large volume flare gas recovery with successful projects on four continents. The companies larges flare reduction project in Eastern Venezuela began in 1997. After smaller successful projects Hy-Bon was selected to provide flare gas recovery systems for seven Venezuela oil production facilities, capturing over ninety million cubic feet of flare gas per day. The condensation recovery program exceeded all expectations and made it a major financial success. At this Venezuelan facility there are three Hy-Bon units. Each capturing five million cubic feet of gas are staged side by side for maximum versatility. In this refinery in China the pictured Hy-Bon equipment is capturing over two million cubic feet of gas previously flared from a high elevation flare in the middle of a highly populated area. The units capture gas from two large accumulation tanks and redistribute it as fuel gas for multiple uses across the refinery. These Hy-Bon flare gas recovery units for any oil and gas each capture over one million cubic feet of previously flared gas. Any personnel authored a white paper on the success of the project which can be reviewed in our technical library. These Hy-Bon flare gas recovery units for Libya capture up to six million cubic feet per day of flare gas across two facilities. These systems utilize rotary screw compressors coupled with state of the art automation and decades of design expertise in capturing low pressure gas. In December 2008 Chevron presented a case study on their largest flare gas reduction project. The Cabinda project in Angola. Chevron selected Hy-Bon’s state of the art flare gas recovery systems for capturing 25 million cubic feet of gas. In addition to the financial value of the recovered natural gas and condensates the project has the same greenhouse gas effect of removing 817,000 cars from the road for one year, or planting 1.1 million acres of trees, a land mass slightly larger than the country of Switzerland. The full presentation is available via The World Bank or Methane to Markets websites, or can be found in our website’s technical library. In addition to providing the most cost effective and versatile flare gas recovery systems in the industry, Hy-Bon can also assist our customers in evaluating the potential for carbon credits from this gas stream. The additional revenue, which can often be derived from these projects is significant. In some cases even exceeding the value of the gas. Hy-Bon can also assist in quantifying the gas volumes designing systems for optimum condensate recovery and even recommending power generation options. We would appreciate an opportunity to put our proven track record of success in flare gas recovery to work for you. Hy-Bon engineering, setting the new standard for custom capture and compression worldwide.
